The event "Stålförskningsdagar" will be held on March 30-31, when Dalarna University's steel research, often carried out in close collaboration with the steel industry, will be presented. Some 40 representatives from over 10 companies will be in attendance.

The conference is intended for researchers and representatives from the industry, but the current research will also be of interest to a larger general public.

In conjunction with the conference, the book ”Stålforskningsdagar 2011 – Materialteknik vid Högskolan Dalarna” will be launched, the editor of which is Joakim Storck, Post Doctoral Scholar in Industrial Production.
