Economic Geography of Nordic Tourism

After the completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  • describe and discuss basic priciples of localisation of economic activity and be able to apply these on specific organisations and businesses, with special focus on tourism
  • show an understanding for tourism as a phenomena and industry in Sweden and the other Nordic countries as well as the importance of tourism for local and regional economies
  • conduct analytical work on the economic geography of tourism and present it in oral and written form
