Education

Education is a subject which treats influence processes and comprises various studies on how children, young people and adults learn, and how they are affected and develop in interplay with their surroundings. In education phenomena which are linked to terms of communication, socialization and forming of knowledge are treated.

At Högskolan Dalarna the subject Education is a Master subject with the main areas working life, pre school/school and management/leadership and physical education, which is reflected in the supply of courses – basic courses as well as continuance courses. With the support of literature, lectures and tuition we challenge habitual thoughts and values.

Students are offered an active and independent position with regards to knowledge development by way of seminars, base group work, written memoranda and essays. The balance between various modes of expression, well tried experience and scientific approach stimulate critical lines of approach and reflection.
