All information regarding the schedule, preparing for the 1st workshop, the course in general, etc as well as the course material will be available on the course website EN1108 (HT17).
The course covers both the theory of presenting and its practical application. It includes, for example, looking at common communication problems and how these can be prevented, the writing of manuscripts and other types of preparation, as well as subjects such as presentation and delivery technique, coping with nerves, and the use of visual aids. You will have the opportunity to give a number of different styles of oral presentations.
The seminar teacher is a native English speaker, so all seminar work will be carried out in English (no Swedish necessary for international students).
This course requires campus attendance. The workshops are usually held on Thursday mornings and last approximately 3 hours in order to give enough time for discussions and presentations.
