Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- plan, implement and evaluate teaching for the purpose of evaluating pupils’
versatile movement ability, - analyse different movement cultures from a norm critical perspective,
- discuss the significance of movement ability from the perspectives of gender
equity and sustainability, - participate in different movement activities of relevance for the profession with a
good level of movement quality, and problematise their own learning process
based on different theories of learning.
Course Content
- Movement to music and dance as a form of training,
- Basic motorical skills and composed movements through gymnastics and track and field.
Assessment
- Embodied examinations, individually as well as in groups,
- Written assignments.
Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.
Grades are reported as follows:
- Dance, Gymnastics and Track and Field (CPD for teachers) - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

Other Information
This course contains 2 physical meetings of 2 full days at each meeting.
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
