Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • use Chinese in a relevant manner while performing teaching-related tasks
  • participate in teaching-related tasks such as assessment, preparation, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • identify, formulate and discuss issues that arise during practical teaching-related tasks and reflect on the role of the pedagogical leader
  • discuss and reflect on, both orally and in writing, the experience and knowledge that they acquired during the internship.

Course Content

In this course, students complete an internship during which they integrate their academic knowledge of the subject of Chinese in an environment that prepares them for future professional life. The course includes such work-related tasks as assessment, preparation, planning, implementation and evaluation.

  • Written and oral reflections
  • Written report

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–G.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Practical Tasks, Written and Oral Reflections, Written Report - 15 Credits | U–G

Prerequisites

  • Degree containing minimum 180 credits

Other Information

The content of this course overlaps the content of the courses Chinese: Internship Term for Teaching in Higher Education, 30 cr and Chinese: Internship for Teaching in Higher Education, 15 cr.

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.

If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
