Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- produce Chinese sentences with more complicated structures and more expanded vocabularies
- express their feelings and thoughts more freely and at ease
- carry out conversations on various daily life topics, as well as simple cultural subjects
- communicate with native speakers of Chinese more confidently and comfortably about such simple and everyday subjects.
Course Content
The course consists of pre-planned and spontaneous practical activities: role play, interviews, debates, story-telling, as well as various listening tasks including simple original media clips. The course is primarily aimed at developing oral and listening proficiency, but may also include some vocabulary/writing exercises.
Assessment
Assessment is based on class performance and written exams.
Forms of Study
Chinese is used as the language of tuition, with English or Swedish as a support language. Teaching is done in the form of class and group activities.
Grades
The Swedish grades U–VG.
Prerequisites
- A minimum of 30 credits in Chinese at undergraduate level
