Health, Culture and Society: Fat Studies and the Controversy over Obesity

We invite you to a seminar on the interdisciplinary field of fat studies and the contested debate surrounding obesity.

This seminar is part of the new series, Health, Culture and Society, at the School of Health and Welfare. The series addresses various controversies in medicine and health, drawing inspiration from medical anthropology and other fields where social science and humanities perspectives intersect with traditional medical science. Our goal is to create an inclusive forum where diverse viewpoints can be presented, expanded upon, and critically examined in order to broaden our perspectives.
