Positive Energy Districts (PED-ACT) Project Meeting

The 2nd PED-ACT General Consortium Meeting, held on 4-5 September, was hosted by the Middle East Technical University (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi) in the capital city of Turkey, Ankara.

The project focuses on optimizing processes to promote increased collaboration among stakeholders and to accelerate energy transition and the development of carbon-neutral cities.

Project partners include Dalarna University, Borlänge Municipality, Umeå University, Umeå Energy, Demir Energy, Middle East Technical University, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Karşıyaka Municipality, Izmir Institute of Technology, Wonderland, and the Austrian Institute of Technology.

During the meeting, the partners discussed the project evolvement for energy modeling processes, replication sites, data processing and adaptation of common database, digital reference generation, co-learning and co-design processes, replicable models, and dissemination of the project.

The meeting was led by project leader Xingxing Zhang with Mengjie Han and Juveria Shah also participating.
