André Augusto has joined us from Arizona State University where he was leading research on photovoltaic energy, specifically thin and flexible solar cells which can be tailored to different applications ranging from buildings to satellites.
Background
André is original from Lisbon, Portugal. He attained his PhD in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Lisbon in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has a masters in Physics Engineering also from the University of Lisbon.
Research Interests
As well as photovoltaics, his research interests include energy in buildings, energy equity and system-wide sustainability. At Dalarna University, his ambition is to work together with students and colleagues to develop sustainable energy solutions in harmony with built and ecological environments.
