I teach and research in the organization, management and leadership field. I am the Director of Master programme in Business Studies with an International Focus.
I am also interested in pedagogical issues, research, and development. In 2020, I was awarded the Distinguished University Teacher title.
I come from the Czech Republic where I did my university studies. I studied sociology together with media studies and journalism at the Bachelor level and sociology at the Master level at Masaryk University, Brno. I disputated at the subject Social Policy and Social Work with dissertation Employers and Worksforce Skills focused on employers' decision-making about workforce skills.
I came to Falun in 2006 for an internship at the Public Employment Service, and then I studied as Erasmus student one-year Master programme in European Political Sociology at Dalarna University.
In 2008 I started to work at Dalarna University as a guest lecturer and then as a university lecturer. Since 2013 I am employed as a senior lecturer in Business Administration and Management.
I have responsible for the Master Program in Business Administration with an International Focus since 2014 (with two breaks for parental leave). In the years 2019–2020, I was also a subject representative for business administration. In 2017 I was elected to the Faculty Board for Social Sciences (ONSAM) and in 2018–2020 I was ONSAM's vice chairperson and in 2021 chairperson.
I have taught, among other things, organizational theory, leadership and organizational behavior, knowledge management, business strategy and scientific methods courses.
I supervise and examine degree projects at an advanced level.
My previous research focused on employers' decision-making and "matching" in the labor market. In the years 2012–2014, I was a manager for the international project “Active Matching: Strategic Support of Labor Market Counseling” at Masaryk University, Czech Republic, where I was employed for 12 years as a research assistant / researcher.
The latest research application is about hybrid working tensions.
I am also very interested in educational/pedagogical research and have published conference papers and book chapters on "flipped classroom", students' active engagement, or hybrid teaching and learning.
