I teach on undergraduate as well as post graduate courses.
I have a PhD in International Politics from the University of Ulster (2006), which examined the effects of international organizations on ethnicity, minority rights and conflict prevention measures in Latvia 1991-1999.
I have 20 years of experience working as a researcher in Northern Ireland and Sweden, both in the voluntary and academic sectors and have a broad research background in a variety of areas related to social and political issues, especially with regard to post-conflict situations and divided societies with issues such as segregation and sectarianism, education and political representation.
I am also a Research Associate, UNESCO Centre, School of Education, Ulster University
My teaching ranges from courses on undergraduate level (Samhällsvetarprogrammet) and to courses on the Masters programme 'Democracy, Citizenship and Change'.
I have a long-standing interest in issues such as social exclusion; housing segregation; education and divided socities. A relative new research interest has been issues related to international migration and issues such as integration and segregation in rural areas
