In my research and teaching, I specialize in early language learning, teacher education, formulaicity, and Sociolinguistics in Sweden's educational landscape.
In the realm of language studies, my professional journey has encompassed teaching and research experiences in Iran, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. Having completed my PhD at Umeå University in 2017, I continued to contribute to academia through teaching and research at various Swedish universities. Since 2019, I have been serving as a full-time senior lecturer at Dalarna University.
I have experience teaching in teacher education programs across different levels (F-3, 4-6, upper secondary). My expertise extends to courses such as sociolinguistics, academic writing, CLIL, and linguistic methods. Additionally, I am engaged in supervising and examining degree theses within the teacher education program.
My academic tasks involve a blend of collaborative and independent research initiatives. My research interests include teacher education, early language learning, formulaicity, and sciolinguistics. Teacher education stands as a cornerstone of my research agenda, reflecting my commitment to understanding and enhancing the pedagogical practices that shape the linguistic journey of learners.
Currently, I am conducting a study on formulaicity in the writing of multilingual pupils in Sweden, funded by the Åke Wibergs foundation. Also, Together with my colleague BethAnne Paulsrud, I am investigating how pre-service and in-service primary teachers work with differentiation and multilingualism in the English subject.
