As of 21 October, new rules will be in place for the booking of group rooms. Each student will be allocated a certain number of hours towards the booking of group rooms on Campus Falun and Campus Borlänge. This is to ensure that all students have equal access to the group rooms.
Starting Monday, September 30, you will need a PIN code when borrowing books from our self-service machines. The PIN code is the same as for your access card.
Every Wednesday and Thursday during the semester, the library's digital drop-in is open for you as a student at the university. You can get help with searching for literature, evaluating sources, writing references, and more.
If this is not your first semester at Dalarna University, then you already have a keycard. However, for your old card to function in the new Campus Borlänge, you need to update it.

Are you a student at Campus Borlänge and have you studied here before, for example, in spring 2024? You’ll need to update your keycard when you arrive at the new Campus Borlänge.
Over the course of the year, the university has worked on changing the learning platform from Learn to Canvas. The transition will soon be completed and by autumn 2024, Canvas will be the only one in use at Dalarna University.
May 6-12 around 4:00-8:00 p.m. concrete will be sawed in the main building Campus Borlänge, which will cause disturbing noise. Hang in there, soon we will be at the new Campus Borlänge!
As a student at Dalarna University, you can borrow tickets for Dalasinfoniettan's concerts at the library – free of charge. Tickets for more concerts are now available!
Old university printers will be removed and replaced with new ones. This will take place on Tuesday March 19 and possibly March 20, on both Campus Falun and Campus Borlänge.
From 1 March, support services will not be open during the evening. The new opening hours for the Support Café in Zoom will be weekdays from 08.00 to 16.00.
The route will be closed from 20 February and will reopen 11 March. (Note, these dates are provisional.) During this time, there will be heavy hauling of materials, so please be sure to follow the signs that will be in place.
Each academic year, Dalarna University awards a travel grant of SEK 10 000 for a student thesis that most strongly contributes towards a sustainable society.
Due to the ongoing disruption in the main Campus Borlänge building, as much teaching as possible will be moved to the pavilion.
