Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- demonstrate an advanced knowledge of audio-visual design and the different cultural and societal contexts in which audio and video interact, and, in a reflective way, be able to analyze and problematize this knowledge
- critically evaluate and communicate audioviual concepts and relate these to audio-visual production
- independently identify and discuss the impact of audiovisual production on the social formation of identity in respect to both individuals and groups
- Demonstrate the ability to transform analytical perspectives in a creative audovisual form.

Assessment
The course is assessed partly through the presentation of a remade design of an audiovisual object which is examined at a seminar and partly through a written exam (essay) that addresses design in relation to the course content (lectures, course litterature and seminars).

Prerequisites
- A Bachelors Degree from a media or cultural subject, area or educational programme, and documented acquisition of qualifications of experience with audiovisual production tools.
