The student will gain knowledge in planning, construction regulations, building design and space planning. After completing the course the student should be able to:
- account for the Planning and Building Act and the National Board of Housing building rules
- describe the different stages in the construction process
- describe the planning process with its actors and documents
- describe different architectural styles in overview
- produce sketches for residential and room design for small and multi-family dwellings with regard to specified demands and needs
- manage the design and location of buildings with respect to the surrounding environment
