Summary in English

The course is an introduction to energy technology and energy systems, and provides the basics for how energy systems and components in energy systems work.

The aim of the course is to build on students’ knowledge of the basic principles in energy technology and help them achieve an understanding of the most used technologies for generating electricity and heat. The course will also provide a historical background to current energy systems, energy use and environmental aspects. There will also be discussion on sustainability in future energy systems.
