Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

Course Content
In the course, theoretical and methodological issues regarding research on linguistic diversity in educational settings at the global, national and local level are discussed and problematised. Linguistic diversity is addressed from, principally, critical perspectives, where questions about power, ideology and identity are central. Concepts in relation to multilingualism are´problematised and evaluated based on different theoretical perspectives. As well, the course examines methodological research and theoretical perspectives to investigate relations between policy and practice in educational settings. The course also includes discussion and problematisation of linguistic diversity and multilingualism in relation to the ongoing thesis work of its doctoral students.
Assessment
Students are assessed based on their written assignments and oral presentations.

The course includes lectures and seminars.
