Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the student shall be able to:
- demonstrate in-depth knowledge in a chosen area of the subject of entrepreneurship
- demonstrate the ability to identify and formulate a current problem in the subject of entrepreneurship
- select and apply scientific models for the writing of the thesis
- summarise results, and present them orally and in writing
- argue for the validity of results
- review and reflect on theses written by others
- demonstrate a critical and reflective approach to their work and in relation to social and ethical aspects
Course Content
The course comprises two main parts. The first part includes applying scientific methodology within the framework of an individual project, in which the student with a scientific approach is to produce a written report.
In this project the student will apply the knowledge acquired from previous courses in entrepreneurship to a problem identified and resolved through an empirical study. The study shall be conducted through a conscious choice of relevant theories and models. The second part of the course includes an oral presentation of the written report as well as opposition of other students’ reports.

Assessment
Oral and written presentation of the thesis and opposition 7.5 credits

Grades
The Swedish grades U–VG.
Prerequisites
- 90 credits whereof 60 credits in Industrial Engineering and Management with Research Method 2,5 credits
Other Information
The number of examination attempts is limited to five. The thesis must be submitted at the time specified by the examiner. Examination can only take place on specified examination dates. In the event that two students write the thesis, they should be able to describe how the work was divided. If a thesis is rejected at two examinations, the thesis topic must be changed. Students registered for the course are entitled to receive tuition and supervision during the period stated for the course to which they were admitted. Any additions must be submitted by the date specified by the examiner.
