Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • demonstrate basic knowledge of physiology,
  • carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation,
  • plan, implement and evaluate teaching for the purpose of developing pupils’
    knowledge in science of training,
  • plan, implement and evaluate endurance training, strength training and mobility training for different groups based on knowledge and understanding of human
    biology,
  • analyse and problematise teaching of health based on the notions of the body as both object and subject.

Course Content

  • The anatomy and physiology of the movement apparatus and the nerv system,
  • the anatomy and physiology of the circulation- and respirationsystem,
  • energy processes in the muscle,
  • tests for evaluation of endurance,
  • biomechanics.

Assessment

  • Embodied presentations, individually as well as in group, 
  • Written assignments, 
  • Written examination. 

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Humanbiology 2 (CPD for teachers) - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

Prerequisites

  • Admitted to CPD education for Teachers

Other Information

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.

If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement.
