Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- work with health-related issues in school and in the subject of physical education
and health - discuss and problematise the concept of health and its significance at the level of the individual, group and community
- analyse and discuss the role of the subject physical education in school in relation to society’s dominant health discourse both nationally as well as internationally
- explain and discuss work relating to health in school and in relation to the subject of physical education and health, and evaluate strategies that promote inclusive work with health-related issues within the school environment
- process and analyse quantitative and qualitative data in the field of health education.

- Different dimensions of the health concept
- Inclusion, equal treatment and equity based on school curriculum
- Health didactics and health promotive work in relation to national curriculum
- The course‘s different sport elements from a health perspective
Assessment
Oral examinations and written assignments.
Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.
Grades are reported as follows:
- Oral examinations and written assignments. - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

Other Information
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
