Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • discuss and problematise the subject physical education and health from different didactical perspectives with a focus on teaching exercise science and in relation to forms and expressions in society’s movement cultures
  • describe and apply basic concepts within exercise science as well as design training programmes based on exercise science
  • discuss opportunities for, and at a basic level use, digital technology that is relevant to teaching exercise science.

Course Content

  • Basic anatomy and physiology (circulation, respiration, movementorgans)
  • The body‘s adjustment to different forms of physical activity
  • Exercise science
  • Injuries in sport
  • CPR

Assessment

  • Examination, written as well as oral analysis of field visits, and planning of training.

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–VG.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Examination, written as well as oral analysis of field visits, and planning of training - 7.5 Credits | U–VG

Other Information

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
