Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course, students will be able to:

know the ethical and legal prerequisites for journalism and commentary

write a reporage based on the prerequisites of the reporage as well as ethical and legal perspectives

explain and problematize the difference between an article and a reporage

explain and problematize the commentator’s assumptions based on culture, medium and language

Course Content

In the course, the prerequisites and frameworks of reportage are highlighted from a journalistic, digital, analogue, ethical and legal perspective. The second part of the course highlights the prerequisites of sports commentary based on the prerequisites, cultures and language handling and different media. The course also highlights relevant journalistic developments.

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–G.

U-VG

Grades are reported as follows:

  • sport reportage - 4.5 Credits | U–G
  • SPort commentary - 3 Credits | U–G

Other Information

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
