Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
Knowledge and understanding

  • explain basic concepts and terminology used in web development,

Skills and abilities

  • develop dynamic and data-driven web applications using front-end, back-end and database technology.

Course Content

The course covers basic concepts and technology used in web development. This includes front end scripts to create interactive user interfaces. The course also introduces back end frameworks and databases, which enables the creation of dynamic and data driven web applications.

Grades

The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–G.

Grades are reported as follows:

  • Assignments (Front-end scripts) - 1.5 Credits | U–G
  • Assignments - 4.5 Credits | U–G
  • Quiz - 1.5 Credits | U–G

Prerequisites

  • Component-Driven Web Design 7.5 credits and Software Development Technology 7.5 credits

Other Information

This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
