Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- search for, gather, evaluate and critically interpret relevant information in Italian in a problem statement
- independently identify, formulate and solve problems with applicable methods in the chosen research area
- explain and discuss, in good written and spoken academic Italian, information, problems and solutions based on research in the chosen field
- use the norms required for a scientific essay in Italian
- review and discuss a fellow student‘s essay
- plan and complete the various stages of the work with the scientific essay within given time frames.
Course Content
In the course, students complete a limited research assignment in the form of an essay specialising in linguistics or literary studies. The course includes in-depth studies in research methodology and norms for how scientific papers should be written. The course also includes the planning, implementation and defence of the written work as well as discussion of a fellow student‘s essay.

- Italian C: Older Literature with Text Analysis, 7.5 credits and Italian C: Italian Linguistics, 7.5 credits
Other Information
Teaching is web-based using a learning platform and digital tools. Students require a computer with a sound card and internet connection, a headset with microphone and a web camera.
