On completion of the course, students shall be able to:
- describe and discuss the main features of Italian geography, history, culture, society and government
- describe and discuss how central Italy distinguishes itself in terms of geography, history, culture and society compared to other regions.

Grades
The Swedish grades U–VG.
To achieve the grade of VG in the whole course, students must achieve VG in modules 2 and 3.
Reporting of grades:
Module 1: Active participation in seminars and oral presentations - 2 cr
Module 2: Assignments - 2 cr
Module 3: Final written exam - 3.5 cr
Prerequisites
- General entry requirements and Italian 3 or the course Italian: Beginners Course II, 15 credits. Exemption from Swedish can be given.
Other Information
Teaching is web-based through the use of learning platforms and digital tools. Students require access to a computer with a sound card and internet connection, a headset with microphone and headphones as well as a stand alone web-cam.
