Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
Name, describe and explain anatomy and function during the human life cycle
with respect to: digestion and nutrient management, nervous system and senses,
kidneys and urinary tract, musculoskeletal system, as well as endocrine and reproductive system.
Course Content
In the course, the human body‘s digestion and nutrient management, nervous system,
sensory organs, hormonal systems, urinary system, musculoskeletal system, and
reproductive system are studied. Furthermore, anatomical and physiological changes during a human life are studied .

Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U–G.
Grades are reported as follows:
- The reproductive system and the endocrine system - 1.5 Credits | U–G
- The locomotor apparatus - 1 Credit | U–G
- The nervous system and the senses - 2 Credits | U–G
- Digestion and nutrient management - 1.5 Credits | U–G
- Kidneys and urinary tract system - 1.5 Credits | U–G
Prerequisites
- General entry requirements and Mathematics 2a or 2b or 2c, Natural Sciences 2, Social Sciences 1b or 1a1 + 1a2
Other Information
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
