Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- apply the basics of solid modelling
- interpret and create 2D drawings
- perform exploded views
Course Content
The course begins with a basic overview of areas of application for CAD as a design tool, after which the basics of relevant drawings are covered. This is followed by a demonstration of the overview of the user interface of the CAD program used in the course. After this, the different basic tools that are needed for modelling and drawing production are explained. The work with the program includes modelling of individual details and the assembly of these. Students will be taught to create exploded views with the aim to create clarity in a complex 3D model.

Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U, 3, 4, 5.
Grades are reported as follows:
- Written Examination - 2.5 Credits | U–G
- Assignment - 5 Credits | U, 3, 4, 5

Other Information
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
