Modules
1.
Development work, 5 Credits
After completing the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge of different models for and theories on both evaluation and school development by, with a view to work done in schools, critically examining different models for and theories on evaluation and development work,
- demonstrate knowledge of education for sustainable development and professional teaching by evaluating and communicating sustainability and professionalism in the role of teacher and in interaction with others,
- demonstrate knowledge of different research methods and working methods for follow-up on both pupils’ learning and teachers’ teaching,
- demonstrate the ability to formulate a contribution to the sustainable development of the teaching profession and of the work towards improvement in schools through the critical and independent application of and reflection on relevant research results and on their own teaching experiences as well as those of others,
- demonstrate the ability to apply research methods through the use of interviews, and by systematising and drawing conclusions on school development.
2.
VFU 3, 10 Credits
After completing the module, students will be able to:
- demonstrate the ability to meet the pupils in their own teaching subject by initially considering their needs and interests, development, questions about identity, sexuality and relationships, as well as school values,
- demonstrate the ability to independently plan, conduct, evaluate and develop teaching based on current governing documents and clear subject didactic choices while making use of research in order to promote the learning and development of all pupils,
- demonstrate the ability to independently and critically analyse, discuss and reflect on their own teaching and that of others in relation to education for sustainable development and professional teaching,
- demonstrate the ability to collaborate and develop good relationships with pupils, employees within education, including APL supervisors and guardians, in accordance with school values.
- demonstrate the ability within education to independently develop valuable professional skills,
- demonstrate communicative skills in listening, speaking and writing in support of pupils‘ learning processes, and contribute constructively to collaboration with colleagues,
- demonstrate the ability both to take an ethical and professional approach when assessing and documenting pupils’ knowledge and to communicate assessment in a supportive way to pupils.
