Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course, students will be able to:
- use basic grammatical terminology to describe the use of Portuguese
- identify grammatical forms when reading simple texts and reviewing their own texts and the texts of other students
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of different basic grammatical concepts and different grammatical forms in their own use of Portuguese
- describe basic differences between and similarities with other languages as well as varieties of Portuguese.
Course Content
The course includes the study of Portuguese grammar with practical exercises such as the analysis of grammatical structures and forms. It also includes individual and group exercises in which students gradually build their knowledge of Portuguese grammar and their ability to write and analyse texts. The language of instruction is Portuguese and Swedish and/or English are used as support languages.

Grades
The Swedish grades U–VG.
To achieve the grade of VG for the whole course, students must achieve a VG in two of the three modules.Reporting of grades:
- Grammar Test - 3.5 cr
- Written Assignments - 4 cr
- Review of Other Students‘ Texts - 2.5 cr

- Portuguese: Basic Course II 15 credits

This course replaces PR1023.
This course cannot be part of a degree together with the course Portuguese: Grammar and Written Proficiency I, 7.5 credits.
