Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student shall be able to:
- Explain in-depth planning theory and discursive perspectives for current urban and regional issues
- Plan and carry out a planning project linked to current challenges in community construction.
- Explain roles and relationships between different actors in a planning project.
- Exercise self-reflective problem solving, impact assessments and evaluations in different planning situations.

Grades
The grading scale used for the final course grade is U, 3, 4, 5.
The final grade in the course is set based on the examiner’s collective assessment.Grades are reported as follows:
- Essay - 2.5 Credits | U, 3, 4, 5
- Project work including seminars - 5 Credits | U–VG
Prerequisites
- 60 credits in Civil Planning and Construction
Other Information
This course cannot be counted towards the same degree along with courses that have equivalent content.
If the student has received a decision/recommendation granting study support from Dalarna University because of a disability, then the examiner has the right to offer an alternative examination arrangement. The examiner takes into account the objectives in the course syllabus when deciding whether the examination can be adapted in accordance with the decision/recommendation.
