Learning Outcomes
After
completing the course, students will be able to:
- apply the definitions of global health, human equality and gender equality as based on the 17 Global Goals in the UN‘s Agenda 2030
- describe and discuss global health challenges such as poverty, epidemics, climate change, violence against specific groups in society, and migration
- describe the role of a nursing student in another cultural context
- explain the importance of language for communication across cultural boundaries.
Course Content
The course begins with lectures that are followed by seminars and workshops where examples from global perspectives are described and theories are presented regarding sustainability, transcultural care and healthcare.
