Summary in English

The course aims to provide a holistic view of production logistics, planning procedures, financial and material flow, and production-process information flow. Based on the manufacturing company’s overall governance with regards to finances, organization and strategy, the conditions and requirements of a well-functioning production process with a focus on customer value in terms of delivery reliability, cost and quality are examined. The concept of lean production and the way this affects the design and control of the business is a recurring theme throughout the course.
