Upon successful completion of the course, the student shall be able to:

  • account for the developments in sports journalism
  • demonstrate an understanding of the difference between journalism and written PR
  • conduct journalistic and PR interviews
  • write reportage, opinion columns, and other articles for journalistic and PR purposes
  • demonstrate an understanding of the various roles involved in editing and collaboratation within the editorial process
  • understand and respect the importance of deadlines.
