After completing the course, students should be able to:
- demonstrate a broad understanding of the field of multilingualism research both internationally and nationally
- demonstrate a deeper understanding of a specific area of multilingualism research
- analyze current research in the field of multilingualism that relates to language use, social aspects and learning in relation to the scientific theoretical models they are based on
- demonstrate sound knowledge of methodological issues of relevance in the study of processes and complex phenomena and problems focusing on multilingualism
- demonstrate a sound knowledge of ethical issues, especially those that tend to be relevant in conjunction with qualitative research methods
- demonstrate basic knowledge of the main features of ethnographically oriented language research.
