After completing the course, students should be able to:
  • demonstrate a broad understanding of the field of multilingualism research both internationally and nationally
  • demonstrate a deeper understanding of a specific area of multilingualism research
  • analyze current research in the field of multilingualism that relates to language use, social aspects and learning in relation to the scientific theoretical models they are based on
  • demonstrate sound knowledge of methodological issues of relevance in the study of processes and complex phenomena and problems focusing on multilingualism
  • demonstrate a sound knowledge of ethical issues, especially those that tend to be relevant in conjunction with qualitative research methods
  • demonstrate basic knowledge of the main features of ethnographically oriented language research.
