Research about Health and Welfare

Our national and international research results in vital knowledge about the health and welfare of the young and old. We collaborate with society in several health and welfare fields: nursing; sexual, reproductive and perinatal health; social work; sport and health sciences; and medical sciences.

Knowledge Implementation and Patient Safety (KIPS)
KIPS is the university's centre for implementation and patient safety research. It aims to build on knowledge that will lead to better healthcare, founded on evidence-based knowledge.
Reproductive, Infant and Child Health (RICH)
RICH is a research center that focuses on various methods to improve reproductive health and the health of children and young people in Dalarna, nationally and internationally.
The Research Centre for Ageing and Later Life (ReCALL)
A central component of the mission of our research centre is collaboration at the regional level, the purpose of which is to ensure that the older members of society in Dalarna lead full and rich lives.
The Research Centre for Public Health and Sports (RePS)
Our work and research at RePS relate to public health and diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal disorders, as well as to the field of sport sciences.

Research Group on Pain - DU/Pain
The long-term goal of our group is to develop and implement knowledge and expertise to address tomorrow's challenges in the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of patients suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Research Group: Sexual, Reproductive and Perinatal Health
The long-term goal of our group is to produce cutting-edge research and evidence-based practices with the aim of influencing access to sexual, reproductive, perinatal health (SRPH), and individual rights.
