Doctoral Programme in Educational Work

As a doctoral student, your work will contribute to the development of knowledge about professional educational practice at all levels of education, from preschool to higher education. Central objects of knowledge are teaching, learning, care and the promotion of development.

Doctoral studies in the subject Educational Work educate researchers who can build on their knowledge about professional pedagogical practices and the pre-existing requirements of these. These researchers must also be able to contribute to the formation of knowledge in terms of method and theory for practice-related studies in Educational Work. The professional pedagogical practices referred to include institutional education from the levels of preschool to higher education.

The programme is offered by the School of Teacher Education in cooperation with other schools at the University that work within the field of teacher education.
