Research about Information and Engineering

We develop methods for data-driven decision-making for businesses; contribute knowledge about energy systems in buildings that use solar energy; and develop materials and coatings for various purposes. In our research, we strive to achieve profitability and sustainability for society.

Energy and Built Environment
Our multidisciplinary research encompasses various fields of science and technology, all of which unite for the common goal of arriving at solutions that will allow for a more sustainable future.
Data and Information Management
Research mainly involves the study of complex processes in business and industry, and in social constructions – in particular areas of research that are relevant for the region as well as non-urban areas along with transport, infrastructure and retail.
Industrial Engineering
Our research is about developing materials and surface engineering to increase productivity and performance in manufacturing and end use. Furthermore, we deal with business models that include sustainability aspects for logistics and renewable energy, entrepreneurship, and product development.
