Chinese in Speech and Writing III

This course aims to help students both reinforce what they have acquired in lower level Chinese courses, and continue to expand their Chinese proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
On completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • communicate comfortably and confidently in authentic situations
  • express their thoughts on daily subjects and use some simple specialist terminology from different academic areas
  • understand fairly complex Chinese sentences and paragraphs
  • write short compositions using Chinese characters
  • read and study partly simplified authentic Chinese texts.

Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than two years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 2 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).

Means of Education:

Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
