Starts week 4, 2025

The course primarily takes up Swedish education for children and adolescents at present, but some historical overview is also given. Specific themes that are treated are the importance of democracy for Swedish schools, work with children with special needs and the use of information technology in education. In the course, Swedish teacher education is treated historically with teacher education at Högskolan Dalarna as an example. Education at different levels in the student’s own country is compared to education in Sweden.
