The course is aimed at students who have completed the course Italian: Beginner’s Course I, 15 ECTS credits at Dalarna University or have a basic qualification and Italian level 2.
The course builds on Italian: Beginner’s Course I. The course requires intensive study and is divided into two sub-courses with similar content but gradually increasing linguistic difficulty. The course content includes pronunciation, listening comprehension, oral and written interaction, grammar and text reading. The course also provides an introduction to Italian culture and social life.

Convocations, exams and scheduled, mandatory seminars are conducted online in a virtual classroom (no physical meetings). Participation requires a stable internet connection, a headset with a microphone and headphones and a separate webcam.
Recommended language level: A2 according Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
Surf on the Internet, read and send emails, use a word-processing programme (e.g. Word). Plug in peripherals to your computer, install programmes and adapt installations for your computer.
Access to a computer (Not a mini pc, tablet or similar) that is not older than two years (or equivalent) and broadband connection, at least 2 Mbit/s (not mobile broadband, because mobile broadband can vary considerably in speed).
Higher rate of web-based communication where our learning platform (Learn/Canvas) is a natural element of the course. Web-based meetings with sound and image where simple presentations can be held. Lectures can be broadcast live or can alternatively be made available afterwards online.
