Language Skills Open New Doors

The Department of Italian at Dalarna University was the first in Sweden to offer courses in Italian that were completely online. Thanks to our extensive experience, we can offer high-quality distance courses that promote a broad education in literature, linguistics, and culture. The goal is that students will achieve a high level of both spoken and written competence in Italian. In our courses, there is great emphasis on the study of Italian and the critical understanding of Italian culture and history as well as on the analysis of Italian texts.

Italian is the first language of all the teachers in the Italian department and all hold doctoral degrees. They they combine their knowledge and dedication to contribute both to a vibrant and dynamic department and to teaching that is broad in focus and rich in content thanks to their cross-disciplinary competence.
